History of the paper factory in Uzerche (France)

For a documentary on the paper factory of the small town of Uzerche, I was asked to create a map of the evolution of the factory (and the city) through the ages.
My idea was stylize the 3D map like a stop-motion paper maquette.
I had to use google maps, a height map for the relief, and a lot of photo reference to hand place every building in the city.
I did a drone style shoot atop of it all to make it look a bit more cinematic.
This movie was directed by Richard Léonard and produced by Corrèze Télévision: http://correze.tv/

Low poly vegetation looking like origami; based on the actual local forms of vegetation and distributed according an actual survey map.

First tests of placing the architecture in the landscape, roughly... did not actually work that well and I decided to place every building by hand and build it to spec.
